Meet the GiuliAero. We took the Giulia G2 and gave it an aero-treatment. We kept the clean cable-routing and covercap integration, but raised the downtube, lowered the flexy seat- stays and narrowed the front fork profile. For maximum adjustability and comfort we designed a new sleek flatback carbon aero- seatpost with a 1-bolt clamp. We integrated the seatpost clamp and also optimized it for Di2. Moving the Di2-junction into the down- tube, creating a much cleaner bike.
By raising the fork-crown we gave the bike additional tire-clearance, up to 28mm. But by lowering the headtube a little, you can still get into that aero-position. More aero means higher speeds, so we had to give it direct mount brakes, for more stopping-po- wer. Of course it has got a big Power BB-area (PressFit 86) and a tapered fork to provide enough stiffness at high speeds.
This is the ideal bike to ride in the breakaway. Still a lightweight all-round racer, just a se- rious fast one.
